The third issue of the fifth volume of the IBRACON Structures and Materials Journal is being released. Important topics related to concrete structures and materials are addressed in seven articles, which were reviewed by specialists selected among IBRACON associates and members of the Editorial Board. The first article presents experimental results involving nanoindentation measurements and prediction of macroscale elastic properties of high performance cementitious composites. The development of behavior prediction models using multiple regression and control charts for the safety control of concrete dams is the topic of the second article. Another article describes an experimental analysis program on the strengthening of reinforced concrete columns with self-compacting concrete and connectors. The fourth article deals with reduction of the stiffness in precast concrete structural elements of multi-storey buildings to analyze global stability. The next article is intended to analyze the effects of the composite prestressing in the performance of the CFRP post strengthening technique. The sixth article applies a methodology based on the probe penetration test to investigate the compressive strength of the shotcrete layer of a small hydro power plant tunnel. The last article addresses effects due to corrosion and concrete Young's modulus variation on reinforced concrete bridges.

We congratulate the authors for the quality of the articles in this issue, contributing for the consolidation of our Journal.
