EDITORIAL
The second issue of the Volume 7 of the IBRACON Structures and Materials Journal is now released. This issue brings an article on fire design of composite ribbed slabs, a topic not covered by the Brazilian standards in fire. The second article presents comparative analysis of solutions in shallow foundations or in pile foundations for an industrial machine subject to vibrations, discussing the relevance of the dynamic analysis. Another article addresses the technical feasibility and ecological advantage of using sinter feed tailings from iron ore mining as an aggregate in the production of concrete, initially to manufacture precast concrete pavers, but with the possibility of extending its use to other applications. The fourth article approaches the soil-structure interaction in the three-dimensional analysis of frame structures. The fifth article examines the structural design aspects related to the vibrations on floors of urban buildings, induced by the human activities that can motivate some discomfort for their users. The last article addresses the use of galvanization on hot technology for rebars, using a zinc thickness supposed to be consumed before the steel enter in action, comparing with the use of rebars without zinc, aiming at an increase of the service life of reinforced concrete structures.
