Researchers from Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, of Paraíba, and of Universidade Federal Rural do Semiárido, of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, detected blue-violet pigmentation in sheep carcasses in the semiarid region of Bahia, caused by exogenous substance of some plant consumed. The research was published in Ciência Rural , v.43, Issue 2, of February 20.
