Fornece uma perspectiva geral das principais variáveis presentes na relação desempenho em aprendizagem e ambientes estressores na e fora da escola. A experiência de estresse em relação ao desempenho acadêmico é influenciada por vários fatores contextuais e pessoais. É possível reduzir o estresse negativo usando estratégias para enfrentar as variáveis estressantes. É relevante desenvolver programas de prevenção de estresse nos atores escolares.

Provides a general account of the main variables presented in the relation of learning performance and stressful enviroments in and out of school. The experience of stress in relation to academic performance is influenced by a number of contextual and personal factors. It's possible to reduce negative stress using strategies of coping with stressful variables. It is relevant to develop programs to prevent stress in the schools setting.

A educação permanente para idosos vem sendo oferecida principalmente por um número crescente de Universidades da Terceira Idade. Apesar disso, os psicólogos escolares parecem pouco atentos a esses aprendizes. Neste artigo são examinadas algumas hipóteses que possam explicar a falta de estudos teóricos e pesquisas sobre estudantes mais velhos: (a) pouca literatura nacional disponível sobre esse tema específico; (b) falta de consenso quanto a definições do sujeito do processo educativo; (c) dificuldades em estabelecer objetivos educacionais, e (d) em avaliar a adequação desses objetivos ao atendimento de necessidades e interesses potencialmente diversos de grupos etários muito variados.

Permanent education for the elderly is being mostly of fered by an increasing number of Universities of the Third Age. Nevertheless, school psycologists seem unaware of older learners. Some hypothesis that might explain the lack of theoretical studies and research focusing aged students are examined in this article: (a) a reduced amount of avaiable national literature on this specific matter; (b) disagreements on definitions regarding the subject of the educational process; (c) difficulties in establishing educational objectives, and (d) in assessing the fitness of these objectives in addressing potentially diverse needs and interests of a wide range of age groups.

Alguns questionamentos são feitos, em relação à forma como o trabalho doméstico executado pelas mulheres pode ser entendido, dentro do campo da sublimação. Discute-se também a necessidade de reavaliação, atualização e ampliação do conceito psicanalítico de sublimação.

This paper discusses some questions about how domestic work made by women can be understood inside of sublimation field. Psychoanalytic concept of sublimation needs to be reviewed, extended and considerated in according with today society.

O texto introduz as idéias básicas da Fenomenologia como fundamento filosófico e epistemológico para a prática da psicoterapia e, mais especificamente, da psicologia humanista. Parte da gênese histórica das idéias fenomenológicas em Brentano, passando à elaboração da Fenomenologia no pensamento de Husserl, apresentando seus principais conceitos. Neste contexto, estabelece um paralelo entre o método fenomenológico e suas aplicações no campo da psicoterapia. Por fim, elabora um quadro geral da influência da Fenomenologia e do Existencialismo na chamada "Psicologia Humanista", destacando os principais expoentes deste movimento.

The text makes an introduction to the basic ideas of the Phenomenology like a philosophical and epistemological foundation to the practice of psychotherapy and most specifficaly, of the humanistic psychology. It begins by the historical genesis of the phenomenological ideas in Brentano, and continues by the elaboration of Phenomenology in the thinking of Husserl, presenting its mains concepts. ln this way, it stablishes a parallel between the phenomenological method and its application to psychotherapy. Finally, it makes a generic picture of the influence of Phenomenology and Existentialism to the "Humanistic Psychology", detaching the principais names ofthis movement.

O estudo relatado neste artigo integra os propósitos do PREPSI - Laboratório de Estudos e Pesquisas em Psicologia Preventiva da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas. Neste sentido, busca mapear a receptividade de servidores (professores e técnico-administrativos) da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia com relação a textos de enfoque psicológico a serem publicados em jornal informativo de distribuição gratuita veiculados mensalmente junto a seus contracheques. Responderam espontaneamente aos questionários 4,0% do total de servidores, que demonstraram boa receptividade à iniciativa (93,8% dos participantes). Os assuntos de maior interesse foram: família, estresse, educação e desenvolvimento humano.

The studie reported in this paper is part ofthe purposes of PREPSI - Studies and Researchs in Prevent Psychology Laboratory ofthe Pontifícia Católica University of Campinas. It searchs to identify the levei of receptivity of Uberlândia Federal University's servants (teaching and administrating staft) about psychologycal texts ifthey were published in a free monthly joumal, at tached with their paycheck. 4,0% of the servants answered spontaneouslly the research and show a high receptivity by the purpose (93,8% participants). The temes they show highly interested were: family, stress, education and humam development.

Os objetivos deste estudo foram os de investigar a influência de um programa de jogos recreativos infantis sobre a aprendizagem de conceitos básicos em pré-escolares e verificar sua generalização para a situação de sala de aula. Foram sujeitos 40 crianças de três a cinco anos de idade. O delineamento utilizado foi de pré-teste, treinamento, pós-teste e teste de generalização. No pré e no pós-teste foi utilizado o Teste de Conceitos Básicos de Boehm. No pré-teste, os alunos tinham maior domínio dos conceitos pertencentes à área de espaço, seguida da de tempo, mistura e quantidade. Após o treino, os melhores desempenhos ocorreram nos conceitos pertencentes à área de espaço, seguida da de quantidade, tempo e mistura. A análise estatística apontou a eficiência da aplicação do programa de jogos recreativos infantis para o domínio e a generalização dos conceitos treinados. Os dados foram discutidos com base em um referencial cognitivista de aprendizagem.

The purposes of this study were to investigate the intluence of a program of infantile recreational games on the learning ofbasic concepts by preschool children and to verify its generalization in the classroom. Forty pupils with age varying from three to five years were subject of this study. The delineation used was pre-test, training, post-test and generalization test. In the pre and post-tests, it was used the Test of Basic Concepts of Boehm. In the pre-test the pupils had a greater command of the concepts related to the areas of space, followed by those oftime, mixture and quantity. After the training, the best performance occurred with the concepts related to the areas of space, followed by those of quantity, time and mixture. The statistic analysis pointed out to the efficiency of the application of the infantile games program in order to acquire command and generalization ofthe drilled concepts. The data were examined under a referencial cognitivist learning basis.

O objetivo do presente estudo foi verificar a opinião de estudantes de um curso de Psicologia sobre as características consideradas importantes de um bom professor. Os sujeitos foram 79 alunos, cursando a 3ª série, de ambos os sexos, que foram solicitados a citar-lhe três características. Os resultados indicam que a maioria deles valoriza mais as características de personalidade e do relacionamento entre professor e aluno, do que as ligadas ao aspecto profissional propriamente dito, como conhecimentos gerais e específicos, por exemplo. As características mais citadas promovem a imagem de um professor interessado, preocupado com os alunos, simpático, bem-humorado, dinâmico e flexível.

The objective ofthis study is to investigate the oppinions of psychology students in terms ofwhat are considered to be the important characteristics of a good teacher. The subjects consisted of 79 third year psychology students, of both sexes, who were asked to cite three characteristics. The results indicate that the majority ofthe subjects attribute greater value to the characteristics of personality and the teacher-student relationship, than to actual professional characteristics such as, for example, the levei of specific and general knowledge. The most commonly cited characteristics support the image of an interest teacher, concemed with the student, likable, good natured, dynamic and flexible.
