RESUMO Neste artigo, as autoras têm o objetivo de expor uma experiência vivida e a composição de sentidos construída por elas, ao participarem de uma simulação da história do contato entre europeus e povos indígenas no país hoje chamado de Canadá e investigarem suas histórias dentro do espaço tridimensional da pesquisa narrativa. Considerando a ética relacional, as formadoras de professores e pesquisadoras viveram, contaram, recontaram e reviveram as histórias de suas próprias experiências, co-compondo histórias de formação antirracista de professores, ludicidade, inclusão, privilégio e responsabilidade, a partir de seus olhares de indígena Cree, de brasileira e de canadense, rumo a uma compreensão mais profunda sobre a descolonização da educação.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT In this article, the authors aim at presenting a lived experience and the meaning-making constructed by them as they participate in a simulation of the history of contact between Europeans and Indigenous peoples in the country now named Canada and inquire into their stories within the three-dimensional narrative inquiry space. Considering relational ethics, the teacher educators and researchers lived, told, retold, and relived the stories of their own experiences, co-composing stories of anti-racist teacher education, playfulness, inclusion, privilege, and responsibility, through the eyes of an Indigenous Cree, a Brazilian, and a Canadian woman, towards increasing understanding of decolonizing education.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO O coletivo Ni una menos iniciou sua formação em março de 2015 e tem atuado fortemente junto à sociedade argentina, reivindicando a promoção de políticas públicas (leis, projetos, destino de verbas públicas) que promovam uma maior igualdade de gênero e de preservação do bem-estar das mulheres argentinas. Neste artigo, pretendemos analisar os comentários realizados na página oficial do movimento no Facebook postados dois dias antes e dois dias depois da grande e primeira manifestação do movimento, que aconteceu no dia 3 de junho de 2015. Para tanto, utilizamos a Linguística do Corpus (SINCLAIR, 1991) e a Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional (HALLIDAY, 1991) como método e teoria que nos permitem vislumbrar aspectos linguísticos que denotam posicionamentos ideológicos, sociais e políticos. Nesse sentido, pela análise do corpus coletado, pode-se perceber como se deu a construção das principais bandeiras do coletivo e as escolhas realizadas como um reflexo da ação dos diversos agentes sociais envolvidos e ativos no processo. O espaço aberto para manifestações e ideias no ambiente de mídias sociais de Ni una menos configurou tal coletivo como um lugar para discussão plural sobre políticas sociais da Argentina.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The collective Ni Una Menos started in March 2015, and since then it has been actively demanding for public policies (laws, projects, public funds) that promote better gender equality and the preservation of the well-being of Argentinian women. In this article, we seek to study the comments posted on the official page of the movement on Facebook. Our investigation will span across comments posted two days before and two afterwards the first rally promoted by Ni Una a Menos on June 3rd, 2015. We use Corpus Linguistics (SINCLAIR, 1991) and Systemic-Functional Linguistics (HALLIDAY, 1991) as the main theoretical and methodological approaches in order to analyse linguistic aspects that express ideological, social and political positions. The results show how different political positions are represented within the movement and which choices reflect the action of the various active social agents. The open space for the expression of different ideas within the social media environment of Ni Una Menos has established this collective as a place for plural discussion on social policies in Argentina.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO A Linguística Aplicada tem sido informada por uma perspectiva moderna que remove o corpo de suas preocupações linguísticas. Diante disso, este trabalho tem como objetivo discutir a relação entre linguagem e corpo. Para tanto, inicialmente, reflete sobre o lugar do corpo no campo geral dos Estudos da Linguagem. Em seguida, apresenta discussão sobre os processos de semiotização em torno de dois corpos específicos: o corpo-negro e o corpo-mulher. Por fim, introduz a perspectiva interseccional como alternativa investigativa que amplia a problematização do elo existente entre corpo e linguagem. A discussão aponta para a importância do exercício da metacrítica como estratégia para lidar com práticas sofisticadas de apagamento dos corpos que ocultam dinâmicas de poder, bem como as desvantagens que se instituem por meio da linguagem.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The Applied Linguistics has been informed by a modern perspective that removes the body from its linguistic concerns. Therefore, this work aims to discuss the relationship between language and body. For this, initially, it reflects about the place of the body in the general field of Language Studies. Next, it presents a discussion about the processes of semiotization around two specific bodies: the black-body and the woman-body. Finally, it presents the intersectional perspective as an investigative alternative that extends the problematization of the link between body and language. The discussion points to the importance of the exercise of metacritic as a strategy to deal with sophisticated practices of erasing bodies that hide power dynamics, as well as the disadvantages that are established through language.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO É objetivo deste relato de pesquisa investigar e discutir as implicações de comentários hostis e ofensivos de diferentes internautas às formas de representação da encenação da crucificação de Cristo pela modelo Viviany Beleboni na Parada Gay de São Paulo, em junho de 2015. Além dos conceitos relacionados à representação e à identidade, de Hall (2008) e de Woodward (2008), durante a análise dos dados foram mobilizados também os estudos de atos de fala e de performatividade de Austin (1962) e Rajagopalan (2012). Os resultados desta pesquisa corroboram os pressupostos teóricos utilizados, segundo os quais a linguagem serve para alterar e criar realidades, e não somente para descrevê-la ou representá-la. O presente estudo permitiu também evidenciar como a dicotomização de diferentes aspectos identitários pode beneficiar um grupo em detrimento de outros.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The objective of this research report is to investigate and discuss the implications of the hostile and offensive comments of different Internet users and the forms of representation of the staging of the crucifixion of Christ by the model Viviany Beleboni, during the Gay Pride Parade of São Paulo in June of 2015. In addition to the concepts of Hall (2008) and Woodward (2008) related to representation and identity, during the analysis of the data were also mobilized the studies of speech acts and performativity by Austin (1962) and Rajagopalan (2012). The results of this research corroborate the theoretical assumptions used, according to which language serves to alter and create realities and not only to describe or represent it. This study also provided an understanding about how the dichotomization of different identity aspects can benefit one group over others.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Este artigo apresenta a análise da trajetória textual, as entextualizações de dois classificados de venda de escravos de 1854, século XIX, publicados no jornal Correio Paulistano. Analisa-se ainda cinco anúncios publicados no século XXI no site Mercado Livre. Pretende com este estudo investigar as ordens indexicais precipitadas nessas entextualizações. Desta forma, embaso-me nos conceitos de trajetória textual empregado por Blommaert (2010) e Fabrício (2013, 2014), entextualização indicados por Bauman; Briggs (1990) e ordem indexical proposta por Silverstein (2009). Durante a trajetória textual e as entextualizações dos anúncios citados, as ordens indexicais encontradas estão relacionadas às vidas das pessoas negras, tais como: desumanização, objetificação, abjeção, inferioridade, desvalorização, precarização das vidas negras.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The present article features the analysis of the textual trajectory and the entextualizations of two ads concerning slave trade issued in 1854 - i.e., in the 19th century - in the Correio Paulistano newspaper. It also features the analysis of five ads posted in this century (21st) on the Mercado Livre website. One of my main goals was to highlight the indexical orders precipitated in those entextualizations. To achieve such goals, I took bases on the notion of ‘textual trajectory’ as it is employed by Blommaert (2010) and Fabrício (2013, 2014); on Bauman and Briggs’ (1990) concept of ‘entextualization’, and on the notion of ‘indexical order’ as Silverstein (2009) has presented it. By tracking both the ads’ textual trajectory and the entextualizations of discourse, it was possible to notice these indexical orders deeply related to black people’s lives: dehumanization, objectification, abjection, inferiority, devaluation, and precarization.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Este artigo visa interpretar discursos presentes nas falas de alunos/as do ensino médio em sala de aula de língua inglesa sob a luz dos conceitos de colonialidade de gênero de Mendoza (2017) e Lugones (2007), e de letramento crítico como perspectiva de ampliação de visões de Monte Mór (2015, 2018). Para tanto, investigo as falas de meus/minhas alunos/as que me levaram a refletir sobre esses conceitos nas atividades desenvolvidas em sala de aula. Desse modo, verifiquei discursos que correspondiam à noção de colonialidade de gênero, interpretei os processos linguísticos inseridos nesses discursos e sinalizei algumas posturas críticas em relação à temática. Diante disso, defendo a inclusão do debate sobre gênero em sala de aula de língua inglesa, a fim de problematizar e refletir sobre tal questão.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT This article seeks to interpret the discourses of High School students in an English language context considering the concept of coloniality of gender by Mendoza (2017) and Lugones (2007), and of critical literacy as the expansion of perspectives by Monte Mór (2015, 2018). For such, I interpreted the speeches of students that made me reflect on those concepts in the activities developed in the classroom. Thus, I identified discourses that corresponded to the notion of coloniality of gender, I interpreted the language processes inserted in these discourses, and indicated some critical postures related to the topic. I defend the inclusion of gender discussions in the English language classes to discuss and reflect on this theme.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Neste artigo problematizamos as mortes física e simbólicas, de Matheusa, mulher/homem trans não binária, anunciadas em uma notícia do jornal O Estado de São Paulo, em 2018. O aparato teórico é multidisciplinar e, portanto, enseja o diálogo entre a sociologia, a análise crítica do discurso (ACD) e a linguística aplicada (LA). A metodologia é qualitativa e os métodos de investigação advêm dos procedimentos interpretativos dos estudos sociológicos interseccionais e das ferramentas da ACD. O artigo está dividido em cinco partes. Após a introdução, a segunda parte investiga a interseccionalidade nos estudos de gênero e de raça. Na terceira, problematizam-se os gêneros e as (homos)sexualidades. Raça, racismo são os temas da quarta seção. Finalmente, discurso, mídia e ideologia mostram como as demais mortes de Matheusa são explicitadas discursivamente.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT This article discusses the physical and symbolic deaths of Matheusa, a trans non-binary person, announced in a news article of O Estado de São Paulo in 2018. The theoretical background used is multidisciplinary, thus enabling the dialogue between sociology, Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and AL. This a qualitative study, and the investigation methods come from the interpretive procedures of intersectional sociological studies and the instruments of CDA. The article is thus divided into five parts. After the introduction, the second part investigates intersectionality in gender/race studies. The third section investigates gender and homosexuality. Race and racism are the themes of the fourth section. Finally, discourse, media and ideology showcase how the other the deaths of Matheusa are presented discursively.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Centro e trinta anos depois da abolição da escravatura as pessoas negras continuam a minoria entre profissionais, educadores e estudiosos em educação em cursos de inglês de escolas públicas e privadas. Essa situação é marcada na situação diária de profissionais negros no Brasil até então como uma consequência do racismo e da colonialidade que devo discutir aqui. Neste estudo, eu procuro examinar as formas que a categoria raça pode ganhar negativa ou positivamente na atuação das identidades de professores negros de língua inglesa, que modelam eles mesmos como identidades resistentes na/através da língua (usando a língua/linguagem para resistir) ou identidades resistentes à língua (negando eles próprios como falantes ou professores capazes).Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT A hundred thirty years after the abolition of slavery and post-slave trade in Brazil, Black people remain the minority amongst teachers in English courses of private and public schools. This situation is tagged in their professional situation insofar as an aftermath of racism and coloniality are concerned, as I shall argue here. In this study, I seek to examine the ways race can be negatively or positively expanded in the performance of the identities of Black English language teachers, framing themselves as either resistant identities in/through language (using the language as a strategy to resist) or resistant identities to language (negating themselves as capable speakers or teachers).
