Resumo O presente artigo refere-se à utilização da metodologia de análise de envoltória de dados (DEA) para determinar e comparar a eficiência técnica de clones de eucalipto dos gêneros Eucaliptus urophylla e Eucaliptus grandis, em escala comercial, produzidos no período de 2016 e 2017 e com idades de corte entre 5 e 7 anos. O plantio desses clones ocorreu em locais com solos arenosos, clima quente e temperado, destinados à produção de celulose e papel, pertencentes a uma empresa situada no interior do estado de São Paulo. Este estudo visa identificar quais clones apresentam ou não melhorias de eficiência técnica relacionadas a sua idade de corte, podendo auxiliar na tomada de decisão das melhores idades de corte e também quais clones deverão ser excluídos ou mantidos nos próximos ciclos produtivos. O cálculo da eficiência técnica e de seus valores atuais, folgas, alvos e benchmarks ao longo dos anos são determinados através das variáveis custo total; volume individual e volume produzido, sendo utilizado o modelo DEA BCC-O, em função da existência de pouca proporcionalidade de alguns pares input-output. Os clones CL02, CL03, CL05 e CL08 mostraram-se eficientes em ambas as idades de corte, caracterizando-os como possíveis benchmarks para os clones ineficientes. Já o clone CL04 foi o único cuja eliminação da lista de clones a serem utilizados nos próximos ciclos de plantio foi sugerida, apresentando diminuição de seu volume individual e densidade básica, quando ocorre o aumento de sua idade de corte. Conclui-se que a metodologia DEA é uma opção para o auxílio da tomada de decisão de quais clones de eucalipto devem ser utilizados, reduzidos e/ou eliminados de seu próximo ciclo, determinando quais são mais eficientes, verificando sua evolução em relação a sua idade de corte.

Abstract This study aims to identify which clones present technical efficiency improvements regarding their cutting age, helping the decision-making as to their best cutting ages and which clones shall be either excluded or maintained in the next production cycles. The data envelopment analysis (DEA) methodology is discussed to determine and to compare the technical efficiency of eucalyptus clones of the genuses Eucaplyptus urophylla and Eucalyptus grandis in commercial scale. They were produced between 2016 and 2017, with cutting ages equal to five and seven years. Their plantation occurred in areas of sandy soils, and warm, temperate climate in order to produce cellulose and paper. The plantation belongs to a company located in the state of São Paulo. The calculation of the technical efficiency and its current values, clearances, targets and benchmarks throughout the years are determined by the variables total cost, individual volume, and produced volume. The DEA BCC-O model was employed due to the little proportionality of some input-output pairs. Clones CL02, CL03, CL05, and CL08 seemed to be efficient in both cutting ages. This indicated that they were likely benchmarks for the inefficient clones. However, clone CL04 was the only one which exclusion of the clone list to be used in the next plantation cycles was suggested since it presented a reduction in its individual volume and basic density, when an improvement in its cutting age occurs. We concluded that the DEA methodology is a good choice for helping the decision-making regarding which eucalyptus clones shall be used, reduced, and/or eliminated from the next cycle, determining which ones are the most efficient ones, verifying their evolution about their cutting ages.

The stakeholder management has been a topic increasingly discussed in the literature about project management, though still existing, large gaps to be filled, especially in complex projects such as the implementation of science parks. Thus, in this paper is presented a case of a Brazilian Science Park which shows how the management team of the project identified key stakeholders and established strategies for engagement and collaboration that sought to increase their engagement, get resources and make use of specific capabilities that were required during the lifecycle of the project to the reaching of its goals.

Diversos estudos têm sido realizados no intuito de analisar os impactos da inovação tecnológica no desempenho comercial das empresas. Com isso, este estudo visa analisar os fatores de influência sobre o percentual do faturamento com a venda de novos produtos na indústria do Estado de São Paulo. Trata-se de uma pesquisa com características descritivas e explicativas, cuja abordagem é quantitativa, utilizando dados secundários provindos da Pesquisa de Atividade Econômica Paulista (PAEP), realizada pela Fundação SEADE. Os resultados mostram que os fatores de influência sobre o faturamento provindo de novos produtos são: a origem do capital controlador; a empresa pertencer a um grupo empresarial; o total de pessoal em pesquisa e desenvolvimento; o pessoal alocado diretamente na produção; as fontes de informação para atividades inovativas; e o apoio governamental para a inovação tecnológica.

Several studies have been conducted to analyze the impacts of technological innovation on the trade performance of enterprises. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to investigate the factors that influence the percentage of sales revenue derived from new products in São Paulo State industry. This is a descriptive and explanatory research that uses a quantitative approach. It used secondary data from the PAEP, Survey of Economic Activity in the State of São Paulo, which was conducted by SEADE (State Data Analysis System foundation). The results obtained show that the factors that influence new product revenue are: controlling shareholder nationality, being part of an entrepreneurial group, the number of people involved in research and development, the number of employees working directly in manufacturing operations, information sources for innovation activities, and the government support for technological innovation.

A gestão dos estoques ao longo da cadeia de suprimentos é um tema que sempre instigou gestores por todo o mundo. Com o aumento da competitividade e da complexidade dos mercados, os tradicionais modelos estatísticos de previsão da demanda, fundamentados em séries temporais, não mais atendiam as necessidades impostas às empresas na adequação de seus níveis de estoques e ruptura. No intuito de atender essas exigências do mercado surgem, nos anos 1990, os sistemas ERP. Entretanto, mesmo possibilitando uma adequação nos estoques e na ruptura, levado principalmente pela otimização dos processos internos e redução do lead time, os ERP não contribuíram para que o SCM atingisse o nível de estoque almejado pelas empresas mais competitivas. Isso porque o ERP limita-se a análise interna da empresa. Já a gestão dos estoques depende de informações de consumo (que são externas a empresa). Buscando-se melhorar ainda mais os níveis de serviços prestados ao consumidor final, novas soluções foram desenvolvidas, dentre elas, o e-SCM que por disponibilizar a informação do consumo em tempo real, acaba sendo mais dinâmico e eficiente que os modelos tradicionais de previsão da demanda. Dessa forma, o presente estudo objetiva analisar como o e-SCM pode colaborar para a adequação dos níveis de estoques e ruptura das cadeias de abastecimento. A hipótese defendida é a de que os modelos estatísticos tradicionais de previsão, baseados em séries temporais, isoladamente não são mais adequados para o ajuste da demanda, tendo em vista que ferramentas baseadas nestes modelos não atualizam a demanda em tempo real e isso é fundamental para a atual dinâmica empresarial. O método de pesquisa utilizado foi o estudo de múltiplos casos em um segmento de cadeia que envolve um grande varejista, seu CD e um fornecedor de linha branca. Para análise dos dados, foi utilizada a técnica de análise de conteúdo. Como principais resultados observou-se que, após a integração do segmento de cadeia pelo e-SCM, houve uma redução no nível dos estoques (36,8% no varejo e 18% na indústria) e no giro (de 18,3 para 5,1 dias no varejo e de 19,6 para 3,2 dias no CD), além da variação da ruptura (de 17,3% para 2,6% no varejo e de 3% para 0,1% no caso do CD). Sendo assim, o estudo traz fortes indícios de que a integração da cadeia, por meio do e-SCM, pode colaborar para o aumento da competitividade da SCM.

Inventory management through the supply chains is a theme that has always enticed managers throughout the world. Due to the increase in market competitiveness and complexity, the traditional statistical models of forecasting demand, based on time series, no longer met the needs imposed on businesses to maintain adequate levels of their inventory and supply interruptions. With the intent to meet these market demands, ERP systems appeared in the 1990's. Nevertheless, even if allowing for a more adequate level of inventory and supply interruptions achieved mainly by the optimization of internal processes and the reduction in lead time, ERP systems did not contribute to reach the SCM's desired levels of inventory that were aimed at by the more competitive businesses. This is because ERP limits itself to an internal analysis of the business. By contrast, inventory management depends on the consumption information (which is external to the business). Aiming to improve even further the level of services delivered to the end consumer, new solutions have been developed, among them the e-SCM, which, since it makes consumption information available in real time, ends up being more dynamic and efficient than the traditional demand forecasting models, Therefore, the present study aims to analyze how the e-SCM can collaborate in maintaining adequate levels of inventory and interruptions in the supply chains. The hypothesis made is that the traditional statistical forecasting models, based on time series and isolatedly, are no longer adequate to adjust the demand, as the tools based on these models do not update the demand in real time and this is fundamental in the current business dynamics. The research method used was the study of multiple cases in a segment of a chain involving a large retailer, its Distribution Center and a supplier of home appliances. For the analysis of the data, the content analysis technique was used. As main results, it was observed that, after the integration of the chain segment by the e-SCM, there was a reduction in the level of the inventory (36.8% in retail and 18% in the industry) and in inventory turnover (from 18.3 to 5.1 days in retail and from 19.6 to 3.2 days in the Distribution Center), aside from the variation in the interruption (from 17.3% to 2.6% in retail and from 3% to 0.1% in the case of the Distribution Center). Therefore, the study brings forth strong indication that the integration of the chain through the e-SCM, may contribute to the SCM's competitiveness.

Este artigo tem como proposta central analisar as variáveis de influência na obtenção de patentes da indústria paulista, utilizando, para isto, dados da Pesquisa de Atividade Econômica Paulista (PAEP), realizada pela Fundação Sistema Estadual de Análise de Dados (SEADE), considerando o período de 1999 a 2001. Trata-se de uma pesquisa com abordagem quantitativa, de caráter descritivo e explicativo, na qual foi utilizada a técnica de regressão logística. Os resultados encontrados mostram a orientação exportadora, a origem do capital controlador, a origem principal de receita (bens ou serviços), o fator relacionado aos investimentos em pesquisa e desenvolvimento (P&D), a presença de laboratório ou departamento de P&D, a cooperação em P&D e as fontes de informação para atividades inovativas são variáveis significativas de influência na probabilidade de obtenção de patentes por parte das empresas industriais paulistas.

This paper aims at analyzing the influence variables of patent obtaining by the industries from São Paulo State, using to this, data from Pesquisa de Atividade Econômica Paulista (PAEP) provided by Fundação Sistema de Análise de Dados (SEADE) from 1999 to 2001. The research has a quantitative approach with descriptive and correlational characteristics, where the statistical method used was the logistic regression. The results show that the export orientation, the capital origin, the main outcome source (goods or services), the factor related to the investments on research and development, (R&D) availability of R&D specific department or laboratory, R&D cooperation and the information sources for innovative activities are significant influence variables on the probability of patent obtaining.
