Summary
Gorytocephalus elongorchis n. sp. (Acanthocephala: Neoechinorhynchidae) an intestinal parasite of a freshwater siluroid fish (Plecostomus carinatus Steindachner) taken in the Amazon river system near Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, was described.
