Using gas chromotography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) with data system, is described the chemical composition of the essential oil of the seeds of puxuri (Licaria puchury-major). Were identified nine monoterpenes besides safrol, eugenol methyleugenol and dodecanoic acid, previously mentioned.
