This paper presents a study of morphological variation, of the lip of the flowes of Catasetum barbatum (Lindl.) Lindl., basead on plants collected in Brazillian Amazonia and Central Brazil. Sixteen variations in 4 different habitats were recognized and related to the ecological characteristics of the environment. Geographical distribution and the illustrations of the lip are presented.
