The purpose of this study was to conduct a floristic inventory of the palms in six fragments of secondary forest in the Municipality of Bragança, Pará State, Brazil. In this study 14 species (nine genera) were identified. Maximiliana maripa (Aubl.) Drude and Astrocaryum gynacanthum Mart. were the dominant species. We present ethnobotanical data, identification keys, descriptions, illustrations, specimens examined, common names, and general comments about the species.
