Purpose: To describe 5 cases with the diagnosis of canalicu-litis, emphatising the diagnosis of canaliculitis as an important cause of chronic conjunctivitis and blepharitis and also to demonstrate the efficacy of the surgical treatment in these patients. Methods: Surgical management of 5 cases with diagnosis of canaliculitis. Results: The gram results were suggestive of Actinomyces israelli and the culture results were negative. The surgical treatment was shown efficacious. Conclusions: The surgical treatment proposed was shown efficacious.
