The authors have described a homemade ether vaporizer to be used in small rodents' anesthesia. The device was built whith hospital material and products bought in aquarium supply stores. The advantages are: maintenance of anestesic level without successive induction, lower ether consumption, less environmental pollution and increased cost-effectiveness.
