Abstracts

This research deals with the effects of growth regulators on flowering and pod formation in soybean plant (Glycine max cv. Davis). Under greenhouse conditions, soybean plants were sprayed with 2,3,5-triiodobenzoic acid (TIBA) 20 ppm, Agrostemmin (1g/10 ml/3 l) gibberellic acid (GA) 100 ppm, and (2-chloroethyl) trimethylammonium chloride (CCC) 2,000 ppm. Application of TIBA increased number of flowers. 'Davis' soybean treated with CCC and TIBA presented a tendency to produce a lower number of pods.


Observou-se em condições de casa de vegetação o efeito de fitoreguladores na florescência e produção de vagens da soja (Glycine max cv. Davis). Antes da florescência, a plicou-se em pulverização foliar Agrostemin (1 g/10 ml/3 D, ácido giberélico (GA) 100 ppm e cloreto (2-cloroetil) trimetilamonio(CCC) 2.000 ppm, além do controle. Foi também aplicado o ácido 2,3,5 - triiodobenzóico (TIBA) 20 ppm, por três vezes, com quatro dias de intervalo a partir do início do florescimento. Verificou-se que o TIBA aumentou a florescência das plantas de soja. Tratamento com CCC e TIBA reduziram o número de vagens produzidas pela soja 'Davis'.

RESUMO

Observou-se em condições de casa de vegetação o efeito de fitoreguladores na florescência e produção de vagens da soja (Glycine max cv. Davis). Antes da florescência, a plicou-se em pulverização foliar Agrostemin (1 g/10 ml/3 D, ácido giberélico (GA) 100 ppm e cloreto (2-cloroetil) trimetilamonio(CCC) 2.000 ppm, além do controle. Foi também aplicado o ácido 2,3,5 - triiodobenzóico (TIBA) 20 ppm, por três vezes, com quatro dias de intervalo a partir do início do florescimento. Verificou-se que o TIBA aumentou a florescência das plantas de soja. Tratamento com CCC e TIBA reduziram o número de vagens produzidas pela soja 'Davis'.

SUMMARY

This research deals with the effects of growth regulators on flowering and pod formation in soybean plant (Glycine max cv. Davis).
