Abstract:
This paper is about a case study that investigates the subjective motivations involved in a mother’s demand for medical care for her child in the Department of Applied Psychology (DAP), at Rainha do Sertão Catholic Faculty. The research was constructed from the psychoanalytic clinical method that allowed the survey of certain psychological nuances, inaccessible in another way. The material, collected during the sessions, was also analyzed from the conceptual framework of Psychoanalysis. Throughout the medical services that were provided, we could point out and analyze certain fantasistic unique formations involved in the demand for child medical care.
