The existing relations among trauma, psychic pain and act are approached by means of the analysis of the clinical case of a person that has performed a suicide attempt. The inter-relation among the traumatic, the breaking of the psyche protection barriers and the prevalence of the "unrepresentative" contents predominance that as a consequence produces the act of trying to take one's own life. Through psychoanalytic metapsychology a suicide attempt is named as a pain-act.
