Aborda-se, aqui, a experiência da migração - que, ao conjugar o familiar e o estranho, o natal e o estrangeiro, leva aquele que migra a interrogar as ficções simbólicas que o ligam à comunidade - na atualidade, em que vigora, como sintoma de uma foraclusão da problemática do estrangeiro, a idéia de uma comunidade compacta, fechada sobre si mesma.

Dynamic of the openness and problematic of the foreigner. Guided by the West, the East doesn’t give anymore room to the experience of the foreigner, sub living very few from the comfort of the intimate with the exterior. It is here studied the migration experience - which, by relating the familiar with the strange, the native and the foreigner, takes the one who migrates to question symbolic fiction that ties them to the community - in the present time in which it takes place, with the symptom of a out-inclusion of the foreigner problematic, the idea of a compact community, close in itself.

Pretende-se examinar as formulações de Anthony Giddens sobre a categoria de identidade, em especial na sua articulação com a experiência da modernidade. Procura-se indicar como tais formulações implicam um modo de apreensão da experiência subjetiva que pode ser posto em questão pela teoria psicanalítica, especialmente a partir da categoria de sujeito, nas suas relações com a razão e a consciência. Compara-se com algumas proposições freudianas em torno da idéia de eu e do seu lugar na formação do aparato psíquico.

A Freudian reading of the category of identity in Anthony Giddens. This article intends to examine the formulations made by Anthony Giddens about the category of identity, specially in its articulations with the experience of modernity, and it tries to indicate in which ways such formulations imply a modality of apprehension of the subjective experience which may be questioned by the psychoanalytical theory, specially starting from a consideration of the category of subject, in its relations with reason and consciousness, and from some Freudian propositions about the idea of Ego and its place in the constitution of the psychic apparatus.

Busca-se refletir, a partir de um enfoque psicanalítico, sobre a questão do diagnóstico estrutural em um caso clínico e sua relação com o lugar que o analista ocupa na relação transferencial. Com base nos fenômenos relatados durante as sessões, destaca-se um leque de possibilidades quanto ao diagnóstico estrutural do caso - neurose, psicose ou perversão -, ressaltando-se que ele só pode ser pensado com base na especificidade da relação transferencial estabelecida com o analista. Uma particularidade deste caso clínico permitiu abordar o lugar que o tecido significante da poesia e da música ocupou diante do sem-sentido da morte.

A structural diagnostic and its relationship with transference in analytical treatment. In this article my aim will be to reflect, from a psychoanalytic view, on the question of structural diagnosis in a clinical case and its relationship with transference. Based on the phenomenon described during the sessions I pinpoint several possible structural diagnosis of the case - neurosis, psychosis, or perversion - and highlight the fact that the diagnosis can only be considered based on the specificity of the transference relationship established with the analyst. A characteristic of this specific clinical case was that it allowed us to analyze the role the poetry and music significant played in facing the senselessness of death.

Desenvolve-se a hipótese de que a elaboração da "categoria" particular de "falta de objeto" que é a privação, feita por Lacan ao longo do quarto ano de seu Seminário, não apenas antecipa a "invenção" ulterior do objeto a, como também se revela, a posteriori, algo que lhe é necessariamente prévio.

Object a and privation. A significant case of retroaction in the psychoanalytic theory. A hypothesis is developed so that the elaboration of a particular category of "lack of object", which is the privation, done by Lacan throughout his fourth year in the Seminary, not only anticipates the ulterior "invention" of object a, but it also reveals, later, something that will be previously necessary to him.

Passage from comprehension to truth: structuralism’s contribution to the Lacanian psychosis theory. From comprehension to truth: structuralism’s contribution Lacanian theory of psychosis. The argument tries to show that it is the insertion into the structuralist rationality that finally leads Lacan to provide the description of a specific device in the causation of psychosis, allowing, through the distinction between knowledge and truth, the overcoming of the impasses of his doctoral thesis, then based on criteria of social consent and on the attempt to overlap explanation and comprehension.

Trabalha-se com a hipótese de que o trauma provoca uma invasão de real que pode ser contida pelo FPS que, ao fazê-lo, torna-se ele mesmo um ponto de condensação de gozo. Para isso, elabora-se o corpo e o adoecer a partir da Psicanálise. Faz-se, em seguida, uma breve revisão da teoria do trauma dentro das teorias freudiana e lacaniana, marcando sua importância para a ocorrência da lesão. Na seqüência, aborda-se o FPS na vertente do significante e do gozo. Por fim, considera-se a hipótese de o FPS ser um remendo no furo causado pelo trauma na tela da fantasia ou no delírio.

From the trauma to the psychosomatic phenomenon (PSP) - dealing with the meaningless? The hypothesis of the author is that trauma provokes an invasion of the Real that can be stopped by the PSP. Because of that, it becomes the condensation point of jouissance. The text starts taking a look about the body and the diseases in a psychoanalytical approach. It gives a short revision of the trauma’s theory in Freud and Lacan Works, emphasizing its importance for the occurrence of the lesion. An articulation of the PSP with the theory of the significant and the jouissance is proposed. At last, the author considers the hypothesis that PSP can be a patch in the puncture caused by trauma on the fantasy screen or in the delirium.

A partir do estudo dos textos de Freud e Lacan, procura-se demonstrar haver no interior da relação do sujeito com os objetos, constitutivos de sua realidade, um vazio de referência que determina que a realidade psíquica se constitui de uma perda. Para a psicanálise, o acesso à verdade, ou realidade, está ligado à própria divisão do sujeito e ao discurso que o circunda. Pretende-se mostrar que a realidade é uma ordem, ou razão, de estabilidade lógica, à qual o sujeito está assentido, ou seja, crê, sem explicação, e que depende de um princípio de ordenação discursivo, que só pode se exercer se não for questionado pelo sujeito.

Reality: a reasoning that cannot be explained, but believed. The author demonstrates, using Freud’s and Lacan’s theory, the existence of a relation between the subject and the objects, that constitute his reality, an emptiness of references that determines that psychic reality is consisted of a loss. For the psychoanalysis the access to the truth, or reality, is related to subject’s division and discourse in which he is embraced. Reality is an order, or reason, of logical stability, to which the subject is assented, he believes, without explanation. The reality depends on arbitrary election of significant as in maître-mot (master word) to constitute one’s self, and the principle of discursive ordering, that can only exist if the subject does not question.

Pretende-se demonstrar que os diversos modos de entendimento da origem do psiquismo, presentes em determinados textos da metapsicologia freudiana, vinculam-se a diferentes formas de compreensão do tema da maternidade. Assim, em "Pulsões e seus destinos" (1915), a maternidade é associada a uma excitação externa que desorganiza o psiquismo do recém-nascido; por sua vez, em "Além do princípio do prazer" (1920) e "O problema econômico do masoquismo" (1924), há elementos de análise que possibilitam uma leitura alternativa sobre o tema, a partir das noções de masoquismo erógeno, pulsão de vida e de morte.

The motherhood under the pulsional theory outlook.This work aims at demonstrating that the different understandings of the psyche’s origins in certain texts of freudian metapsychology relate to different ways to comprehend maternity. Thus, in "The instincts’ destiny" (1915), maternity is associated to an external arousal that disorganizes the newborn’s psyche; on the other hand, an alternative reading of the theme based on notions such as erogenous masochism and life and death pulsions, is possible taking elements of analyses present in "Beyond pleasure principe" (1920) and "The economic problem of masochism" (1924).

Pretende-se retomar, nas obras de Freud e Lacan, algumas das principais balizas do estatuto da diferença sexual em psicanálise. O enigma feminino, assinalado por Freud, e as diferentes formas de gozo, referidas por Lacan, situam o registro da referida diferença. Por fim, algumas contribuições de Foucault nos permitem avaliar a implicação política da psicanálise em relação a esse tema.

The Medusa and the joy: a reading of the sexual difference in psychoanalysis. This article revisits the texts of Freud and Lacan, indicating some of the main beacons of the statute of the sexual difference in psychoanalysis. The feminine enigma, designated from Freud, and the different forms of joy, related from Lacan, point out the register of the sexual difference in psychoanalysis. Some contributions of Foucault allow for the politic implication of the psychoanalysis in relation to this subject.

Nos últimos anos, a prática da apresentação de pacientes vem crescendo no campo psicanalítico, e isto se deve, sem dúvida, aos incontestáveis efeitos clínicos por ela produzidos. Para se fazer uma análise crítica e avançar nas elaborações e sistematizações acerca da apresentação, é preciso conhecer as bases conceituais sobre as quais o processo se deu. Procura-se, aqui, esboçar um mapeamento histórico, procurando identificar as circunstâncias de seu surgimento, transformações pelas quais passou, até seu uso no momento atual.

Patient Presentation: (re)discovering the clinical dimension. On the last years, the practice of patient presentation comes growing in the psychoanalytic field, and this is, without a doubt, because of the incontestable clinical effects that it produces. To become a critical analysis and to advance in the elaborations concerning the presentation, it is necessary to know the conceptual bases on which the process occurred. This work has as objective to sketch a historical mapping, seeking for identifying the circumstances of its sprouting, transformations through which it passed until its use at the current moment.

A amizade tem origem nos primeiros laços amorosos, dos quais traz a marca. A satisfação sexual obtida nas relações de amizade, embora distinta daquela que caracteriza o amor, repousa sobre a sexualidade infantil. Aborda-se, com o apoio da literatura e da clínica (a partir da clínica e da literatura), a especificidade da amizade e seu papel no contexto da identificação e da imagem de si.

The love grammar of friendship. The friendship has its first origins in the love ties, from which it brings its marks. The sexual satisfaction obtained from the friendship, although distinct from the one that characterizes love, lies on the childish sexuality. It is here approached, with the support of literature and clinical work, the specificity of friendship and its role in the identification context and the self-image.
