ABSTRACT
Loquat production in Brazil is concentrated in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, and its economic importance has been growing during the last years, with more than 100 thousand trees under production, mostly in the region of Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil. This article presents the diversity of Lonchaeidae species associated with loquat and describes a new species of Neosilba, N. inesperata n. sp.
