ABSTRACT
From the novel A vez de morrer, by Simone Campos, a reflection is made on the difficult equation of “living together”, which is much closer to the idiorrhythmic fantasy proposed by Roland Barthes - without, however, abiding by it entirely - than to Zygmunt Bauman’s conceptions, in an attempt to think about what questions contemporary Brazilian literature has addressed to the discursive frameworks that point to the constitution of communities that are growingly more inclined to forming relationships among equals. In confronting different communities, Campos enables a discussion about urgent issues such as sexuality and religion in times of a “concentration of the capitalistic-mediatic powers”, as expressed by Jacques Derrida.
