This article elaborates on the graphic form of projection of the cartogram in order to think, through it, Angolan fiction of the 90s and the beginnings of the XXI century. Considering the cartogram as a way of highlighting by means of images or sketches a given geographical phenomenon, the reading herein proposed makes use of this image to call attention to the representation of Angolan landscapes and cultural spaces, viewing them as a process of investment on the part of fiction writers in their local histories in order to thereby emphasize their own cultural difference.
