Abstract
An important area in Edson Rosa da Silva's intellectual production was translation. In this critical reading of A cabeça de obsidiana: Malraux diante de Picasso, a book by André Malraux translated by Edson Rosa da Silva, we highlight the relevance of the text for art history studies, as well as the breadth of ideas and reflections triggered by the work.
