Sexual: the contemporary of psychoanalysis

Nina Virgínia de Araújo Leite Paulo Sérgio de Souza Jr.

Based on the arguments put forward by Giorgio Agamben in the text "What is the contemporary?" (2008), this paper aims at shedding some light on the notion of contemporaneity in psychoanalysis. If the processes of the unconscious system have no relationship with time (Freud, 1915), there would be something, in the field of psychoanalysis as such, that could be called contemporary?
