Museus de Cabo Verde: continuidade e inovação

The scenario of Cape Verdean museology has been developing over slightly more than three decades so that stills encompasses aspects that should be considered as a process of definition. The independence in July 1975 emerges as a milestone determining the timespan being analyzed here. References to eighteenth-century, nineteenth century and even nineteenth-century history that we seek to explain, hold particular importance in a historical context that goes beyond the reality of the territory, which adds interest to these elements. Therefore, it is rather in the most recent period that vectors of evolution are perceived as most significant. Our comments will follow that line, focusing on some questions relevant to a better understanding of the subject matter which are deemed worthy.
