The author reports a case of pneumococcic meningitis following otitis and mastoiditis, successfully treated by penicillin associated with sulfapy-ridine. Neither the sulfonamidic compound nor the penicillin, separately, have been effective. The course of the meningitis was studied by means of daily examinations of the cerebrospinal fluid.
