Abstracts

We report the case of a young female patient with photosensitive primary epilepsy who presented partial motor status epilepticus provoked by the act of shutting the eyes. Clinical, EEG and neuroimage data are presented and discussed.

Apresentamos um caso de estado de mal parcial motor desencadeado pelo fechamento dos olhos em uma paciente jovem com epilepsia primária fotossensível. Dados clínicos, eletrencefalográficos e de neuroimagem são apresentados e discutidos.

RESUMO

Apresentamos um caso de estado de mal parcial motor desencadeado pelo fechamento dos olhos em uma paciente jovem com epilepsia primária fotossensível. Dados clínicos, eletrencefalográficos e de neuroimagem são apresentados e discutidos.

Palavras-chave: epilepsia, status epileptieus motor parcial, fechamento dos olhos.

SUMMARY

We report the case of a young female patient with photosensitive primary epilepsy who presented partial motor status epilepticus provoked by the act of shutting the eyes. Clinical, EEG and neuroimage data are presented and discussed.
