Open-access Technological Innovation Strategy in Fish Farming: Application of a Technological Maturity Tool

This research developed a tool based on the TRL (Technology Readiness Level) metric to characterize the levels of scientific and technological maturity of fish products. The study was based on a descriptive and exploratory research, using a case study and data collection through the application of questionnaires containing semi-structured questions and analysis of examples of referenced material. A TRL calculator model was proposed, adapted to the food segment with emphasis on fish technology. The tool was applied in five projects in the area of fish technology and the results were evaluated through the application of four methodological proposals. The results indicated that the best model for the use of the tool in the food context in fish technology was the proposal developed in this work, efficiently demonstrating the degree of maturity of the projects evaluated.

Keywords:
