Open-access Performance Analysis of a Solar Carport Located in Neoville Campus of the Federal University of Technology of Paraná in EVs Context

The electrification of transportation systems using renewables could be the best option for the decarbonization process and reach Net Zero. This current article presents the performance analysis of a Solar Carport through merit indexes located in Curitiba, the capital of Paraná, in the Federal University of Technology of Paraná (UTFPR) parking lot at the Neoville campus. The Solar Carport system has 4.89 kWp and has generated 470.75 kWh monthly during almost five years of operation. Also, models of BEV, PHEV, HEV, and combustion engines are compared with Carport's monthly average energy production and verified if it guarantees the energy demand to power different EVs.
