After a detailed analysis, the editors of Revista Bioética decided to formally withdraw the paper "Bioethics and care of women victims of sexual violence: a review of literature" by Paula Peixoto Messias Barreto, Juciara de Santana Silva, Edith Lago da Silva Sena, Rita Narriman Silva de Oliveira Boery and Sérgio Donha Yarid, published in Revista Bioética (Print) 2016; 24 (2): 267-75, because (with the exception of short excerpts) the paper is a literal copy of an article published two months before in Acta Bioética. 2016 June 22 (1): pp. 91-100.
