Autobiographical writing and history of mathematics educationThis article focuses on the possibilities of connection between autobiographical writing and history of mathematics education. The paper discusses conceptions of autobiographical writing and presents a panorama of their historical development. It also presents a typology of autobiographical texts and examines theoretical and methodological issues concerning historical research which uses those texts as sources or subjects of investigation.
