Abstract
This study aims to investigate which conceptualizations of slope are evident in the Chilean mathematics curriculum and which are emphasized. To achieve the objective, Content Analysis and the eleven categories of slope conceptualizations were used. The results indicate the presence of the second, eighth, and ninth categories of those conceptualizations in elementary education, junior high school, and high school levels, respectively. The functional property conceptualization is emphasized in elementary school and junior high school levels, and this along with the real world situation and the parametric coefficient are emphasized in elementary school and junior high school levels. In the latter, the parametric coefficient, real-world situation, and algebraic ratio are emphasized. There are few conceptualizations of trigonometric conception and determining property at elementary school and junior high school levels, but they are at the high school level. The results of this study could be useful in future curricular reforms.
