A Comparative study of wheat cultivars on two types of soil in the state of São Paulo

Carlos Eduardo de Oliveira Camargo Ary de Arruda Veiga About the authors

This paper presents the results of two cultivar trials on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), carried out at the Tietê Experiment Station and at Santa Isabel Farm, Itaberá. The cultivars IRN-526-63, IRN-152-63 e Pitic-62, Mexican germoplasms, were very susceptible to "crestamento" at Itaberá soil, giving small yields. The Brazilian germoplasms showed tolerance to Al3+ , with average yields. At Tietê trial, IRN-526 and Pitic-62 cultivars showed good performance, having the most yield in this condition.
