SUMMARY

Effects of growth regulators, ethephon (2 chloroethyl phosphonic acid), CCC (2 chloroethyl trimethylammonium chloride), and folcysteine (5% of a derivative of thiazolidin-4-carboxylic acid, and 0.5% folic Acid) were studied in a field trial carried out in 1976, at the Centro Experimental de Campinas, Instituto Agronômico.

There were not statistical significant differences on total fresh tuber weight and dry matter content among the different treatments. Ethephon induced epinastic bending leaf petioles and elongation of the tubers.
