The effect of liming and the use of different sources of phosphates in the production of forage crop of soja perene (Glicine javanica L.) in a poor type of soil known as "cerrado"

In this paper are discussed the effects of the use of liming and phosphate fertilizers which were applied independently or in combination with each other. The experiment was installed in a poor type of soil known as "Cerrado". Liming and phosphate fertilizers increased the production of forage of "Soja perene" (Glycine javanica L.). The chemical soil analysis showed an increase in thepH value, whereas the phosphates utilized did not increase the phosphorus content of soil. With the exception of natural phosphates the effect of phosphorous fertilizers was better than that of liming.
