This work presents an accurate approach for load flow calculation in electrical power systems in which high surge-impedance loading (HSIL) lines are present. The methodology consists in the use of three-phase power flow in phase coordinates for solving a sub-system where the unbalance effect due to HSIL lines are more accentuated. The traditional positive sequence load flow is used for the rest of the system. The proposed model has been validated in test systems.
