Daily schedule of thermoelectric generators operation using bio-inspired ant colony optimization

This paper presents a methodology based on Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) aiming at minimizing the costs of the thermoelectric generators daily operation. The proposed model makes use of a Sensibility Matrix (SM) based on information from the Lagrange Multipliers in order to improve the ACO search process. In this way, a percentage of individuals uses this information in the colony's evolutionary process. Simulations show that the use of the SM presents results with better solutions even when considering a reduced number of individuals.
