Synchronization of chua's system with improved performance using modified backstepping and evolutionary computation

It is considered, in this paper, the optimized synchronization of two Chua's chaotic systems. We propose a methodology based on a modification of backstepping technique allied with a genetic algorithm in order to achieve a better performance in the synchronization of two Chua's systems in terms of control effort when compared to the traditional backstepping method. The modification of classic backstepping is based on a recent Extension to La Salle's Invariant Principle. Matlab simulations are presented to show the effectiveness of the approach.
