The aim of this study was evaluating the prevalence of burnout and the quality of life in Community Health Agents (ACS) of the city of Caetanópolis (MG). Participated in this study all 24 ACS of the city, that responded to the Maslach Burnout Inventory, the World Health Organization Quality of Life Instrument Bref (WHOQOL-bref) and the socioeconomic questionnaire Critério Brasil. The results showed that 58.3% of ACS had medium level of burnout and 94.5% had poor quality of life. This study points to the necessity of considering the impact of work in the lives of the ACS and intervene to improve their quality of life.
