Abstract
Background
The theoretical and methodological framework of matrix support should guide the work of the Family Help Support Centers (NASF).
Objective
To analyze the work process of the NASF teams from the perspective of matrix support from the data of the 2nd External Evaluation Cycle of the NASF’s National Program for Improving Access and Quality (PMAQ).
Method
We analyzed 57 NASF teams from 9 municipalities in the Northeast classified in Stratum 6 of the PMAQ. The performance of municipalities was classified into three categories: A (above 75%) for satisfactory condition; B (between 25% and 75%) to moderate; and C (below 25%) to unsatisfactory.
Results
In the Planning of Actions and in the Schedule Organization, 22.80% and 33.33% of the teams presented classification A, respectively. The Matrix Support Organization had the highest percentage of satisfactory classification (54.38%). The worst performances were observed in Demand Management and Shared Attention (22.80%).
Conclusion
NASF plays an active role in planning and developing of actions integrated with eAB, has a shared agenda organization. However, it presents weaknesses in the evaluation and monitoring of actions. These facts can be used to determine the capacity of EqNASF to deal with the management of existing demands, in order to improve eAB.
