This paper analyzes the contribution of "Multiplano" (Multiplane) for Geometry learning by deaf students. It refers to the development of geometric thinking and the creation of mathematical signs in Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) from classifiers produced by students. The text is grounded in studies of deaf culture and in van Hiele's theory on geometric thinking. Geometry and linguistic skills were assessed before and after the implementation of a Learning Unit using the Multiplane. It proved to be an appropriate teaching resource, suiting the needs of deaf culture in terms of learning Mathematics.
