Political-pedagogic project of the "Brazilian Curricular Parameters": national identity and historical consciousness

This paper aims at exploring the national identity and historical consciousness building as references of the pedagogic project that underpins the cultural and political parameters emerging from the cultural and historical policies. A review of the "Brazilian Curricular Parameters" focusing on the "national identity" concept was carried out in order to analyze which conceptions oriented the elaboration process of a historical consciousness.
