Open-access THE SPATIALIZED LIFE OF BABIES AND CHILDREN: THOUGHTS ON TEACHING IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

This paper aims to reflect on the teaching practices based on the spatiality of the Early Childhood Education institutions. This has been done through presenting space as central in the constitution of the human being. As a result, we argue that space needs to be problematized by the educators. We conclude that new ways of thinking about Early Childhood Education are possible, which allow children and babies to express their thoughts and agency and can help in thinking about the construction of spaces, the construction of their own existences and in the construction of the world.
