Remembering-forgetting: working with children memories

Based on the works of authors who focus on old age and memory through a proposal to build photographic sets and an analysis methodology, we developed an exercise/challenge for 9-10 years old kids. Still following these authors, we also proposed to think how children s memory - like that of the elderly - can build and organize itself through photographic supports that represent fragments of daily life. Although both groups include beings at the antipodes of lifetime, they are close as for this given feature. Children intuitively and reflexively elaborate their memory concepts involving memory and forgetting, which they represent in varied and creative visual forms. The building movement of memory thus indicates attempts to order a time composed of various times.
