    ABSTRACT

    This paper traces the term “sense” in several Vygotskian texts about art as well as in “Thought and word”, chapter of Thinking and Speech. Various formulations and an imprecise terminology offer traces of the distinction that the author would crystalize in his final work between meaning and sense.
