RESUMO Tomando como eixo das reflexões a realidade francesa entre os séculos XIX e XX, o artigo examina o fenômeno de constituição e difusão do naturismo, partindo da sua emergência em terras germânicas. Menos que um exame minucioso das várias facetas assumidas pelo naturismo e o apelo de um “retorno à natureza” no período, interessa aos propósitos deste artigo flagrar algumas das dimensões desse movimento e as representações de natureza em torno das quais se articulam os seus promotores e suas iniciativas.

ABSTRACT Taking the French reality between the 19th and 20th centuries as an axis of reflection, this article examines the phenomenon of the constitution and diffusion of naturism, starting from its emergence in Germanic lands. Less than a thorough examination of the various facets assumed by naturism and the call for a “return to nature” in the period, it is of interest to the purposes of this article to capture some of the dimensions of this movement and the representations of nature around which its promoters and its initiatives are articulated.

RESUMO O Rio de Janeiro criou o Serviço de Inspeção Médica Escolar em 1910. Desde então, médicos e educadores promoveram uma série de debates, registrados em relatórios, periódicos, livros e na imprensa, sobre as melhores formas de prevenir o alastramento da tuberculose entre escolares. O artigo apresenta e analisa algumas discussões e medidas postas em prática por médicos e educadores na cidade durante as décadas de 1910 e 1920 para o enfrentamento da tuberculose infantil. Como solução foram propostos e implementados solários, preventórios, colônias de férias infantis e escolas ao ar livre.

ABSTRACT Rio de Janeiro created the School Sanitary Inspection Service in 1910. From that moment, physicians and educators promoted a series of debates, recorded in reports, journals, books and press, about the best ways to prevent the spread of tuberculosis among scholars. The article aims to present and analyze some discussions and measures put into practice by physicians and educators in the city during the 1910s and 1920s to confront childhood tuberculosis. As a solution, solariums, preventoriums, children’s summer camps (vacation colonies) and open-air schools were proposed and implemented.

RESUMO Analisaram-se representações sobre a infância, a educação e a nudez produzidas pelo movimento naturista no Brasil durante a década de 1950. Foram utilizadas revistas publicadas pelo movimento no Brasil. Analisadas à luz do conceito de representação formulado por Chartier, verificou-se a importância do corpo infantil para o movimento naturista em sua proposta de educar por meio de um retorno à natureza. Para isso, a nudez infantil destacou-se bem como a frequente inquietação dos nudistas com a educação sexual para a construção da sociedade brasileira na década de 1950.

ABSTRACT Representations about childhood, education, and nudity produced by the naturist movement in Brazil during the 1950s were analyzed. Magazines published by the movement in Brazil were employed. Analyzed in the light of the concept of representation formulated by Chartier, it was verified the importance of the infantile body for the naturist movement in his proposal to educate through a return to nature. For this, child nudity stood out as a regular concern of nudists with sex education for the construction of Brazilian society in the 1950s.

RESUMEN La educación corporal escolar aplicada en el sistema educativo argentino se valió de diferentes estrategias. Una de ellas fue la educación alimentaria que, basándose en la Escuela Nueva, buscaba modificar hábitos, costumbres y transformar “naturalezas”. Del análisis de los Programas para la escuela primaria del período y de los ejemplares de El Monitor de la Educación Común, entre los años 1936 y 1961, emergen sentidos contradictorios atribuidos a la naturaleza en los que argumentos científico-médicos y religioso-morales, fundamentaron roles de género y perfiles laborales urbanos y rurales.

ABSTRACT School body education applied in the Argentine educational system used different strategies.One of these strategies was the alimentary education that, basing on the New School, pursued the change of habits, customs and the transformation of “natures”. From the analysis of the Programs for primary school in that period and the copies of The Monitor of Common Education between the years 1936 and 1961, contradictory senses attributed to the nature in which scientific-medical and religious-moral arguments base gender roles and urban and rural labor profiles emerge.

RESUMO Este artigo vista contribuir para o entendimento das relações históricas entre variações climáticas e emoções humanas. A intenção principal é a de perceber algumas mudanças ocorridas na leitura do clima presentes em livros escolares de geografia e na primeira revista infantil brasileira, intitulada Tico-Tico. Trata-se do resultado de uma pesquisa mais ampla sobre as relações entre clima e melancolia, na qual as transformações das sensibilidades nos modos de perceber as estações do ano e as características atmosféricas relacionam-se intimamente com o perfil das emoções e a sua história

ABSTRACT This article aims to contribute to the understanding of the historical relations between climatic variations and emotions. The main intention is to perceive some changes that occurred regarding what people could read about the climate in school books of geography and the first Brazilian children’s magazine, Tico-Tico. This is the result of a broader research on the relationship between climate and melancholia, in which the transformations of sensibilities in the ways of perceiving the seasons and the atmospheric characteristics are closely related to the profile emotions and their history.

RESUMO O objetivo do artigo é problematizar o avanço da urbanização no extremo sul da cidade de São Paulo, especificamente na região da represa do Guarapiranga, em meados do século XX, a partir da experiência dos moradores com o mundo natural. A lenta conquista de infraestrutura e serviços urbanos básicos, tensões sociais e posições ambíguas diante da natureza marcam esse processo histórico ainda hoje inconcluso.

ABSTRACT This article aims to discuss the urbanization advance in the extreme south of São Paulo city, specifically in Guarapiranga water dam region, during midst of twentieth century, based on residents’ experience related to natural environment. The slow conquest of infrastructure and basic urban services, social tensions, and ambiguous positions regarding nature marked this historical process still unfinished today.

RESUMO O trabalho analisa aspectos de dois documentários dirigidos por Leni Riefenstahl nos anos 1930, com ênfase na presença do corpo como natureza. Triunfo da vontade, sobre o congresso do Partido Nacional-Socialista em 1934, em Nuremberg, e Olympia, que se ocupa dos Jogos Olímpicos de 1936, em Berlim, são vistos como dispositivos pedagógicos a destacar a pureza corporal oriunda do vínculo consanguíneo, uma entre várias possibilidades de formar uma comunidade fascista. Isso se dá pela estetização da política e pela circunscrição do corpo e sua imagem à pura natureza.

ABSTRACT This paper analyzes aspects of two documentaries directed by Leni Riefenstahl in the 1930s, pointing the presence of the body as nature in both narratives. Triumph of the will, on the Congress of the National Socialist Party in Nuremberg, 1934, and Olympia, in charge of the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin are seen as pedagogical devices highlighting the body purity arising from the consanguineous bond, a possibility of forming a fascist community. This is due to the aestheticization of politics and the circumscription of the body and its image as pure nature.
