Open-access TECH-WORKERS AND THE DIGITAL WORK CULTURE

The aim of this article is to discuss the existence of a digital work culture, with the technological transformations of the last few decades and which has computerization and the internet as its reference. Individualization and entrepreneurship have become ways of improving life and the company has emerged as a model for personal life. We argue that the so-called digital work culture derives not only from the characteristics of the tools and utilities used in the work process, but from the work culture of the new capitalism marked by the flexibility present in its relations, which predates digitalization. We present the results of research carried out before and during the pandemic period, with digital workers linked to the software development process, with face-to-face and online interviews and different employment contracts.
