MULTIVERSITY OF THE PEOPLE OF EARTH OF MÃE PRETA: the turn of words and the pedagogy of struggle

This article intends to describe an experience of kilombola and afroindigenous education, named Multiversidade dos Povos da Terra de Mãe Preta, an intercommunity web gestated within the Kilombola Community Morada da Paz. Located in Triunfo/RS, the community is self-recognized as a kilombola and spiritual community, guided by a preta-velha, Mãe Preta, and by an exu, Seu Sete. It is, therefore, a kilombola and terreiro community, formed mainly by black women. Through learning with Mãe Preta and her sayers that I bring the words rotated and reinvented to counter-colonize thoughts and strategize about the world. In alliance with the Multiversidade, I direct my effort in this article to tell stories of political and pedagogical creations –which was named as pedagogy of struggle –, happy confabulations and quilombist refuges, in the face of the astonishing colonial ways of inhabiting the land that continue to terrorize bodies and territories.
