PRESS TIME AND TEMPERATURE INFLUENCE ON GLUE STRENGHT OF Pinus taeda PLYWOOD

ABSTRACT

The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of heating temperature of the logs, pressing time and pressing temperature on the glue line strenght of Pinus taeda phenolic plywood. A factorial analysis was applied for the different treatments showing that the best heating temperature was 60°C and the best pressing temperature 145°C, the pressing time was 9 minutes.
