Virtual library in Brazil is an alternative to access information through Internet at the Biblioteca Nacional, specialized, university, public and school libraries. A preliminary survey, carried out by IBICT, displays the distribution of virtual libraries statewise and their presence at Internet. The main products and services available are access to links, digitalized works, catalogs and institutional information. Interconnection of the diverse libraries will minimize efforts and avoid double work.
