In this article, the author affirms that the philosophical work of Giorgio Colli is more important than his editorial work of Nietzsche works, by which he earned international recognition. It show that Colli was a philosopher with positions contrary to his time. To the academicism, the historicism, the researches of positivist character. At last he shows, that as a systematic and metaphysical thinker, Colli saw in the ancient philosophy the zenith of occidental tought and, in Nietzsche, the greatest modern expression of that tought, without however sparing him of criticism.
