Open-access A Biographical Space and Memory Space: Black Women Performance in Poetry Slam

The present article analyzes self-representation strategies that reverberate in writing and performance in the poetry slam exclusive for women participation, focusing on narratives by black poets connected to a personal and collective experience. Engaging with decolonial feminism and Performance Studies, the discussion articulates the concept of biographical space with notions of collective memory and trauma.
