SUMMARY An experiment was conducted aiming to evaluate the efficiency of different fungicides in controling rust in garlic (Ailium sativum L.), cultivar Quitéria. The location was in Rio Grande, RS and planting and harvest dates were July 23 and December 15, 1987, respectively. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications. The treatments that enabled, simultaneously, the lower indexes of pustule infection and the higher bulb yieldings were mancozeb, triadimefom, triadimenol, propiconazole and RH 7592.
